Masters swim @ the Corpus Christi Athletic Club Classes Run Monday 7pm to 8pm, Tuesday 8am to 9am, and Friday 6am to 7am Must be advanced swimmer capable of completing 4 lengths of a 25 meter pool.  Members price $50 for 8 classes or Nonmembers price of $75 for 8 classes.

Cycling

 

Monday  Recovery Ride
Meet at the corner of Yorktown and Everhart.  (22-24 miles)
Ride is at a recovery pace.  Helmets required.  ABC ride, all are
welcome. Contact Anthony or Trevor (or call 219-7064).

 

Wednesday    Group AB&C Ride From Lamar Park. 6:00 p.m.   Alameda & Doddridge (25 miles)  
The “A” group rides at 18-22 mph avg. speed...or faster!

Saturday       7:00 AM Group bicycle ride from Lamar Park        Alameda & Doddridge  
“A” group rides at 18-22 mph avg. speed, 45 miles -  “B-C” group rides at 14-17 mph avg. speed, 33 miles

                     7:00 AM Group bicycle ride from old HEB       Saratoga & Everhart (A,B ride 55, C ride 25 miles) “A” group rides at 18-22 mph avg. speed, 55 miles - “B" Group 16 to18 mph avg. speed, 30-55 miles.   "C” group rides at 15-18 mph avg. speed, 25-30 miles please park next to the CVS Pharmacy  (Times may change Please call  "B" David Dunlap 857-8466 or "C" Janet Lee, 852-7500)

Sunday          7:30 AM Group bicycle ride from Lamar Park        Alameda & Doddridge (45 miles)

                     
 All groups leave together and separate during the ride.

All rides, except the Saturday “B-C” group from old HEB, stop for regroup and water at the Circle K on Violet Road and I-37.  

“A” group rides will consist of high tempo surges, and tight pace line & echelon riding. Speeds can reach 35+ mph on flat, windward sections of the I-37 access roads.           

“B-C” group rides are ideal for new or slower riders who want to train at a slower pace before moving up to “A” rides. Also recommended for riders who want to have a leisurely, more relaxed ride and make new friends. No one gets left behind and group help is provided for flats and other problems.  

All groups are expected to obey all road traffic rules. Please share the road and be safe.

Running

Monday          6:10 p.m.  Run from the YMCA downtown.   4 mile fun run, 9 min pace, double back for stragglers, some drills.  Group is Lead by Clent Mericle 
Thursday        6:00 p.m.   from Don Winkley's )House.  Three Groups Various speeds.  New runners welcome. Social Afterwards.

                      6:30 p.m. Interval training @ IWA ( Incarnate Word Academy) 2 lap warm up prior to training. Group Lead by Clent Mericle

Sunday          6:00 a.m.   Run From Aqua Java  First Group leaves at 6:00 and does a 1/2 hr. warm-up run, circling back to Aqua Java at 6:30 for new arrivals. Distance varies depending on seasons, upcoming races and heat index, but generally going 10 or more miles.  This is a fast paced group, running 8:30 - 9:30 minute miles and sometimes a few front runners going below 8:00 pace.
